HMB is a natural compound produced during the metabolism of the amino acid leucine (one of the branched-chain amino acids: BCAAs).

HMB is a metabolite of leucine that has been shown to stimulate protein synthesis and decrease protein degradation.

It increases muscle mass and prevents catabolism, decreases degradation from hard workouts, helps fat loss, and promotes recovery. Maximises strengthening of the muscles and improves aerobic performance.
